This spring, we say goodbye to two incredible members of the lab, Amisha and Ruoyu, as they begin the next chapter of their scientific journeys in graduate school. Over the past two years, they have made outstanding contributions to our research program, bringing curiosity, dedication, and enthusiasm to every project they touched. We are immensely proud of all they have accomplished and grateful for the impact they have had on the lab. We wish them all the best in graduate school and cannot wait to see the amazing discoveries and accomplishments that lie ahead!

From philosophy to proteins: Stowers postdoc continues his HHMI Gilliam Fellowship in Kostova Lab
Evan Morrison, Ph.D., a Stowers Institute postdoctoral researcher and a 2021 recipient of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Gilliam Fellowship, followed an unconventional path into biological research, and continues his HHMI fellowship at the Stowers Institute researching how cells identify defective ribosomes.
