A bird's nest outside the lab!

25 June 2026

This spring, our lab had a front-row seat to a small but remarkable story unfolding just outside our windows. A pair of birds built a nest in the branches outside the lab, and over the course of several weeks we watched them lay eggs, hatch chicks, tirelessly gather food, and eventually send their young into the world. It was a quiet reminder that growth often happens gradually, through countless small acts of care that are easy to overlook day to day. Much like science itself, the process required patience, persistence, and faith that the effort invested today will one day take flight.
