Science talk winners: Caroline Doherty, Ph.D., Phi Nyugen, Ph.D., and Leo Yan, Ph.D.
Kostova Lab member Leo Yan Ph.D., is a recipient of the Jane Coffin Childs Fellowship and was recently honored at the 2025 JCC Symposium in Chicago, where he won the Best Presentation Award for his talk “Determining how ribosome heterogeneity regulates early embryogenesis.” Says Leo of the experience, “I'm deeply honored to receive the Jane Coffin Childs Fellowship. I am grateful for the exceptional support I received during the JCC. We have a supportive and loving community, and it is a great honor to continue our research here at Stowers. I'm excited to build on these findings and contribute to our understanding of the fundamental mechanisms that govern life's earliest stages.”
We are so proud of Leo!
